What is GSY Not Hot?
Garden State Yoga is very pleased to announce the opening of our additional studio space. We have opened up directly next to our existing location and are currently offering various types of yoga in a non-heated environment.
GSY Not Hot is our second studio, offering Vinyasa, Ashtanga-Inspired & Iyengar-Inspired classes. After nearly 2 years of HOT yoga we thought we would explore different styles. This will allow our students to go deeper into their practice.
Why did you decide to offer a different style of yoga in the 2nd studio?
Eastern philosophy talks about the idea that there are “many paths, one destination”. At GSY we wholeheartedly agree with this concept. We believe in and promote the practice of the physical asanas to assist us in finding our path to peace and contentment. That is why we are now offering different styles within the physical practice of yoga, bringing together the balance of mind, spirit and body.
What will the classes be like next door? Will they be physically challenging like the Power Vinyasa at GSY Hot?
The yoga at GSY Not Hot will compliment the Power Vinyasa style that we have always been devoted to practicing.
The Vinyasa classes will have you moving & sweating. But the heat will be built more from your internal flame than the heaters in the studio.The Ashtanga-Inspired is a vigorous, athletic style of Vinyasa based on the primary and secondary series of the Ashtanga style of yoga. Try it. You are gonna love it.
Our Iyengar-Inspired is alignment focused. Unlike a traditional Vinyasa class where students are encouraged to independendtly flow through the postures, Iyengar is verbal & precise, with misalignments actively corrected.

Our goal has always been and will continue to be great classes in a clean and sanitary environment with the most knowledgeable, approachable and down to earth teachers. With our 2nd studio we have the ability to offer classes available for people that come in all shapes, ages and sizes with access for all budgets.
